Short version: Martin's Training Diary stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any personal information. There are no accounts, no servers, no analytics.
Martin's Training Diary does not collect any personal information. All data you enter — workouts, body measurements, nutrition logs, weight history — is stored exclusively on your device using Apple's on-device storage (AsyncStorage). This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly use the Export feature.
The following data is stored locally on your device only:
None of this data is transmitted to any server or third party.
Martin's Training Diary can read data from Apple Health with your explicit permission. This includes:
Health data is read from HealthKit and stored locally on your device only. It is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted to any external service. You can revoke Health permissions at any time in your iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Health.
Martin's Training Diary can access your location during a workout to track GPS routes (distance, pace, speed, elevation). Location data is stored locally on your device as part of your workout history. Location access is optional — the app functions fully without it. You can revoke location permissions at any time in your iPhone Settings.
The camera is used exclusively to scan barcodes when adding food items. No photos or video are recorded or stored. Camera access is optional.
Martin's Training Diary uses RevenueCat (react-native-purchases) to manage in-app purchases and subscriptions. RevenueCat communicates with Apple's StoreKit to process transactions. It does not collect personal data, health data, or usage analytics. No other third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs are used.
The app includes an offline food database sourced from Open Food Facts, licensed under the Open Database License (ODbL). This data is bundled in the app — no network requests are made to look up food items.
The app includes an Export feature that allows you to export your data as a JSON file. This export is initiated solely by you and goes directly to a destination you choose (e.g. Files app, email). We do not receive a copy.
Martin's Training Diary does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app does not collect any data from any user regardless of age.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
